I’m a writer and researcher living in London. My work focuses on how the economy affects people and places, how it shapes value systems, and how social movements respond. Bylines include CityLab, the London Review of Books, Jacobin Magazine, City Metric and the New Socialist.
I was previously a reporter in Washington D.C., where I wrote about tech monopolies and market power. Before that, I completed an MPhil in Political Science at Newnham College, Cambridge.
My prior research has focused on Spain and India. As a European Cultural Foundation research fellow in Catalonia, I examined the municipal movement in Barcelona and its role in building a progressive urban economy. In Mumbai, where I was the recipient of a British Council fellowship, I spent time researching Narendra Modi’s “Make in India” initiative.
